This is a one day workshop that will get you ready and confident to start your sewing journey. No experience is required for this class
You will learn everything you need to know to start sewing on your own and tackling projects.

Loading and threading your machine
Types of stitches
Types of needles
Understanding fabrics
Sewing essential items
Sewing terms
Pattern basics
 
 
We will be sewing a beginner friendly project - knit tube top
 
Skills you will learn
Sewing specific seam allowances
Working with patterns
Using rotary cutters
Sewing a garment from a pattern
 
 
You do not need to bring anything to this class. Materials and fabrics are included with the course price.
Minimum age for this class is 15.
 
The workshop is roughly 4 hours long. Time varies on how quickly the group gets through lessons and sewing project.
